Readings made me realize that there is no one perfect description for a leader. There are way more theories or skills that people think a leader should have than I ever thought. I knew to be a leader was not an easy thing, but readings made me rethink what leadership meant again. As I shared in the second post, I believed that communicating well with people was the key to be a successful leader, but it became clear that a leader need a lot more competencies and need to be able to show many behaviors in order to lead other.

Another take away is to know leadership theory has been changed over and over as surrounding such as technology, requirement, or society change. Without understanding why some theories have a lot of support while others has less, you cannot define what leadership means to you. Finally, I now can say that becoming a leader should not be the final destination, it is just a starting point. Every leader has to keep improving himself and seek opportunities to be better one every day. Learning never ends regardless you are on the journey to learn how to be a leader, or you can already call yourself a successful leader.
